Norwich recreation director placed on paid leave
Norwich – Recreation Director C. Roger Moss was placed on administrative leave today for an undisclosed reason.
City Manager Alan Bergren notified Mayor Peter Nystrom and members of the City Council this morning of the action saying Moss would be placed on paid administrative leave "until further notice" and would provide updates to the council "as necessary."
Bergren said he could not comment on any details or discuss any pending investigation or how long Moss would be on leave.
"He's been placed on paid administrative leave until further notice," Bergren said. "That's all I can say right now."
Moss was hired as city recreation director in January, 2012 with a salary of $70,000 after he had spent the past 15 years as the East Hartford parks and recreation director.
