Dog Days Adoption Events is holding a shelter dog adoption event at Burnett’s Country Gardens on route 85 in Salem on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday October 27th from 11 to 4. This will be the 11th community adoption event that Dog Days has hosted in the past 3 years. Lorin Liesenfelt, the founder of Dog Days Adoption Events says, “Connecticut is full of dog lovers. All of our events include small and large puppies and dogs in order to attract a more diverse crowd of adopters. We’re like matchmakers- we try to help people find the best dog for their lifestyle.” All potential adopters are screened and interviewed and must agree to a home visit.

Dog Days is an all volunteer Connecticut based group that coordinates with high kill shelters from the south and Connecticut municipal shelters to bring 75 to 90 healthy adoptable dogs to a single weekend event. So far, nearly 1000 dogs have found loving families in Connecticut with the help of Dog Days and our supporters.
