Mystic - A group of Mystic Seaport visitors are framed by the propeller of the steamship Sabino, hauled-out Friday at the H.B. duPont Preservation Shipyard for routine maintenance and the annual Coast Guard inspection.
The Sabino, the last remaining wooden, coal-fired steamboat in operation in the U.S., was built in 1908 in East Boothbay, Maine, by W. Irving Adams. It came to the seaport in 1973 and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1992.
