Napier named to Oscar Robertson Trophy Watch List

UConn senior Shabazz Napier is in the running for several prestigious national awards

.

Napier is one of 23 players on the 2014 Oscar Robertson Trophy Mid-season Watch List. He's first on the team in scoring (17.4), rebounding (6.2), assists (5.9) and steals (1.9).

He's one of two American Athletic Conference players on the list, joining Louisville's Russ Smith. The U.S. Basketball Writers Association picked the players. The winner will be announced on April 14 in Oklahoma City.

On Wednesday, Napier earned a spot on the Wooden Award Mid-season Watch List. He's also a candidate for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award, Naismith Trophy and 2014 Senior CLASS Award.
