We Are Scientists play the Wolf Den
At some point, writing and gigging through the years on the Indie Rock Highway, something odd happened to We Are Scientists.
They became a really excellent power pop band in the tradition of Teenage Fanclub, Fountains of Wayne or dada - all the way back to early Todd Rundgren and Cheap Trick. With their brand-new "TV en Français" album - a truly excellent package of instantly hooky tunes, cinammon-roll harmonies and self-effacing wit - We Are Scientists have made one of the first great albums of 2014.
Onstage, they're great fun: tight performances and hilarious commentary - it's clear they love what they're doing. See and hear for yourself tonight when they do a free show in the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den.
