Westerly -- The Westerly Hospital is offering a seven-week smoking cessation program called “Freedom from Smoking” beginning on May 6 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center. Sessions will be meet for seven consecutive Tuesdays, with an additional session on May 29.

The program will be led by Westerly Hospital respiratory therapists trained in the American Lung Association program. Participants will learn tools and strategies to recover from tobacco addiction and help them stay quit for good. The cost is $25 per participant to cover the cost of materials.
