Waterford Board of Finance approves appropriations totaling $20,101

Waterford - The Board of Finance on Wednesday approved appropriations for three departments.

The board approved a transfer of $20,000 from legal professional fees account to cover professional fees for the Board of Selectmen, $100 from office supplies account to cover overtime in the tax collector's office, and an additional appropriation of $1 for interest on the bond for renovations to Great Neck Elementary School.

The $1 appropriation balances the fund for amortization of the bond. The fund was overexpended by two cents because the paying agent, U.S. Bank, requested a penny more than scheduled for the past two interest payments.
