Classic ships - beautifully restored, lovingly displayed - gather at Mystic Seaport this weekend for the annual Antique and Classic Boat Rendezvous.

These antique vessels were built before 1970 and cover a whole spectrum of vessel types, from cruisers to runabouts to sailboats.

The boats are on view at the seaport on Saturday and Sunday, and then, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, they parade back down Mystic River. This procession always proves a popular draw, with the ships peopled by costumed crews and with each boat announced at the Mystic River Park as it passes by.

Another type of vehicle will be highlighted at the seaport on Saturday, too. The Austin-Healey Club of America is showing off 20 Austin-Healeys from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Village Green.
