Temporary parking ban, road closures for Mystic Outdoor Art Festival


Mystic — Groton Town police are alerting residents to a temporary parking ban and road closures this weekend in downtown Mystic during the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival.

The temporary “no parking” order will start at 4 a.m. Saturday and end at 8 p.m. Sunday. The order will encompass parts of West Main, Water, High, Bank, Cliff and Edgecomb streets, along with New London Road.

Water Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from West Main Street to the Steamboat Wharf parking lot. Pearl Street will be open to northbound traffic only. Gravel Street will be open to southbound traffic only.

Heavy traffic conditions in and around downtown Mystic are anticipated, and motorists should expect delays.
