MAKE A DIFFERENCE: PAWCATUCK NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER

Who: Jennifer, a recent widow, and her six children 

Agency: Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center

Their situation: Jennifer experienced a sudden and sad loss with the death of her husband in the spring. Together, they had a happy family of six children now aged 3, 6, 10, 15, 17, and 18.

What to give: Winter coats and boots for all the children. Gift cards from JC Penney, Sears or Wal-Mart would be very helpful, along with Stop & Shop gift cards for groceries. The children like Legos, board games, card games, Play-Doh, and music. The family could use new sheets — one full-size set, and five single sets (no color preference) — as well as one breakfast sandwich maker, gas cards, gift cards for clothing, and musical toys for the younger children.
