    Groton police charge 2 with dealing cocaine, other drugs

    Groton — Town police, in conjunction with the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force, have made another drug-related arrest, this time seizing cocaine, Xanax, amphetamines and more.

    According to police, officers on Wednesday afternoon carried out a search and seizure warrant at 9 Chase Oaks Court, Unit 6. Police obtained the warrant after learning cocaine allegedly was being sold from the residence.

    Inside, police said they found cocaine, anabolic steroids, marijuana, Xanax, amphetamines and $796 in cash.

    Arrested were 31-year-old Marshall A. Chiaraluce and 24-year-old Brandy L. Fanning. Both reside at 9 Chase Oaks Court, Unit 6.

    Police charged Chiaraluce with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.

    Fanning is facing three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

    Released on $5,000 nonsurety bonds, the pair is due in New London Superior Court Oct. 25.
