Killingly — The Montville High School wrestling team finished second at the Killingly Duals on Saturday, going 4-0 before losing to Killingly 45-27 in the final.

Montville (9-2) beat Portland 63-13, Ellis Tech 51-21, St. Paul 81-0 and Stafford 72-9. Noah Caskey (134 pounds), Sam Kury (152), Dane Concascia (187) and Nick Tibbetts (220) each went 5-0 with Kury recording four pins. Ian Anderson (147), Zach Navarette (160), Caleb Forehand (170) and Sawyer Kury (138) won four matches each for Montville.

In other meets:

• Ledyard's Dennis Charles (160), Andrew Allen (182) and Richard Mullaney (285) each went 4-0 as the Colonels were 3-1 at the Trumbull Duals. Ledyard (6-4) beat Foran 41-35, Masuk 54-22 and Westhill 39-34 and lost to Simsbury 37-30. J'mari Lowman (106) had three pins for Ledyard and teammates Joey Millbach (113), Ty Miller (126) and Brayden Grim (138) also won three matches each.

• East Lyme went 2-2 at the Whippet Duals, beating E.O. Smith 36-6 and Rockville 39-6 while losing to Berlin 54-18 and to host Windham 72-3. Everett Minevich was 4-0 for East Lyme.

Waterford was 3-1 at the Whippet Duals, beating Fitch 48-16, Rockville 66-6 and E.O. Smith 54-24 and losing to Guilford 52-27. Eric Zane (120), AJ Sachatello (132), Luther Wade (160) and Dylan Zito (285) were each 4-0 with Wade earning three pins and Sachatello one match 5-0 and two others by pin for Waterford (4-3). The Lancers also got three wins each from Jake Gannotti (170) and Liam Ward (220). Keith McDonald of Fitch pinned at 152 and teammates Aidan Robertson (113), Joshua Letellier (126) and Nathaniel Cote (138) also won matches.

• Norwich Free Academy's Dominic Renfree (120) and Theran Vanase (160) each went 4-0 as the Wildcats finished 2-2 at the Southington Duals. The Wildcats beat Amity 50-30 and Hall 54-28 and lost to Southington 55-21 and Lyman Memorial/Windham Tech 43-25. Renfree had three pins, Vanase had two pins and two major decisions and Brandon Nieto (138) and Mason McMahan (170) won three matches each with two pins for NFA (4-6). 

H.S. boys' basketball

• Aidan Miller had a team-best 15 points in NFA's 56-41 victory over RHAM, with the Wildcats coming from down 19-9 after one quarter. Bret Wood added 13 points and Alec Gomes 10 for NFA (3-0). NFA outscored RHAM 20-7 in the fourth quarter.

• Sean Tipple's 3-pointer with three seconds left lifted host Scituate, R.I., to a 51-49 win over Old Lyme on Friday night. Aedan Using had 11 points and Ray Doll scored nine for Old Lyme (3-2). Old Lyme senior Jacob Coverdale played at Scituate before moving to Old Lyme.

• Justice Farris had 15 points and 11 assists as Fitch beat Capital Prep 82-49 in the consolation game of the Fitch Holiday tournament on Friday. Ajia Brown scored 22 points, Kiev Lucas scored 18 and Tre Bryant had 12 rebounds for Fitch (1-4).

H.S. girls' basketball

• Megan Bauman scored 17 points to lead East Lyme to a 50-21 win over Montville. Katie Durkee scored 14 for East Lyme (6-2). Angel Skulczyck had 12 points and 15 rebounds and Lauren Velazquez had four steals for Montville (3-3).

H.S. boys' swimming

• East Lyme lost to Amity in a nonleague meet, 106-73. Eric Gu won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.74) for East Lyme (1-1) and teammate Ben Prouty won the diving with a score of 194.35. East Lyme's 400 freestyle relay team of Eain Goolsbey, Gu, Jack Mucciarone and Robert Hahn won in a time of 3:49.44.

Women's hockey

• No. 8 Connecticut College handed William Smith its first loss of the season, winning the nonleague game 1-0. Elena Gualtieri scored in the second period for the Camels (5-2-1), which outshot Smith (7-1-2) 24-6.  

Men's basketball

• Maine-Presque Isle led 40-22 at halftime and went on to beat Connecticut College 74-60 in a nonleague game. David Labossiere had 16 points and four assists, Phil Leotsakos had 13 points and six rebounds and Dan Draffan came off the bench for 10 points for Conn (5-6). 

Men's hockey

• Hockey East-leading Boston College beat UConn 2-0. Adam Huska made 27 saves for UConn (8-12-2, 5-8-1). David Cotton and Ron Greco scored for Boston College (10-7-2, 10-3).

• Connecticut College lost to Hobart 5-1 in a nonleague game at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Greg Pezza scored for Conn (3-5) off an assist from Kyle Moss.
