Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez play the Knick Saturday

The Beehive Queen does not rest!

Indeed, it's barely 2018, and tireless rock sorceress Christine Ohlman brings her band Rebel Montez to Westerly's Knickerbocker Music Center for a Saturday performance. True, it's been a while since they've released any new material, but songs from earlier albums like "Strip," "Deep End" and "Wicked Time" are timeless.

Plus, this is just a great live act. Ohlman has a distinct and hypnotic voice and stage presence, and Rebel Montez — guitarist Cliff Goodwin, bassist Michael Colbath, drummer Larry Donahue — is like a band of continually exploding high-voltage batteries.
