Waterford — Miranda Arruda had 19 points, 19 rebounds and five steals as Stonington beat Waterford 45-25 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II girls' basketball game on Friday night.

Kate Hall scored 12, Aliza Bell had 13 rebounds and Izadora Yarnall had eight rebounds for Stonington (8-4, 4-2). Julianna Bonilla had seven points and 12 rebounds and Marylin Childs had eight rebounds for Waterford (7-6, 3-2). 

In other games:

• Norwich Tech won its first game of the season, beating Grasso Tech 29-21 in a Connecticut Technical Conference East Division game. Alexis Rodriguez scored 10 points for Norwich Tech (1-7, 1-2), which was 10-for-16 from the free-throw line. Morgan McNeil scored a game-high 17 for Grasso (0-10, 0-3), making three 3-pointers.

• St. Bernard lost to Tourtellotte in an ECC Division III game, 45-34. Emily Nelson led the Saints (3-10, 2-5) with 14 points.

• Coginchaug beat Old Lyme 52-44 in a Shoreline Conference game. Jordan Lewis had 16 points and Maddie Zrenda scored 13 for Old Lyme (7-4, 6-4), which trailed by 17 after three quarters.   

Boys

• Ken Turner scored a game-high 19 points and added 11 rebounds to power Ledyard past Fitch, 67-39, in ECC Division I. Trevor Hutchins chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds and E.J. Ahlborn had 16 points for the Colonels (7-2, 2-1). Tre Bryant had 11 points for the Falcons (1-10, 0-4).

• Brandon Mayersohn scored a game-high 21 points as Norwich Tech defeated Grasso Tech 57-51 in the CTC East. Maison Mebane added 11 for the Warriors (3-6, 2-1) while Jacob Cortes had 16 points and four assists for Grasso (0-9, 0-3) and Silus Wiggins added 14 points and eight rebounds.

• St. Bernard took a 35-12 lead after one quarter and went on to beat Tourtellotte 88-39 in an ECC Division III game. Connor Svab and Joseph Beltran scored 14 points each for the Saints (9-2, 4-1).

• The Williams School lost to MacDuffie School, 70-42. Zain Alan led the Blues with 15 points and Grayson Guinan added eight.

• Scott Pion had 11 points and Bowen Baker added 10 rebounds for Wheeler in a 53-35 loss to Lyman Memorial in ECC Division III. The Lions fell to 2-9, 0-5. David Lopez, Jr., had 22 points for Lyman.

• St. Thomas More lost to Rocky Hill School (R.I.), 76-65. Tyshun Bryant had 20 points, Ta-Jae Jenkins had 14 points and Tyler Rudolph scored 13 for T-More (1-5).

H.S. swimming

• Norwich Free Academy remained unbeaten with a 102-65 victory over Waterford in the ECC. Jeff Ng (200-meter individual medley, 2:36.59 and 100 breaststroke, 1;16.69), Wyatt Gordon (200 freestyle, 2:38.43 and 100 free, 1:08.68) and Jay Lin (100 butterfly, 1:08.08 and 400 free, 5:01.35) won two events apiece for the Wildcats (3-0, 3-0) while Jason Blain captured the diving competition with 162.90 points for the Lancers (0-4, 0-3).

• Ryan Goolsbey won a pair of individual events to lift East Lyme to a 98-79 win over Windham/RHAM/Coventry in the ECC. Goolsbey won the 200-yard freestyle (2:15.94) and 500 free (5:59.08) for the Vikings (5-2, 3-0). Jack Mucciarone (100 butterfly, 1:01:23), Dennis Han (200 IM, 2:25.93) and Ben Prouty (diving, 179.60 points) also won individual events while Mucciarone was part of two winning relay teams.

Men's hockey

• Freshman Paul Capozzi's goal at the 2:59 mark in overtime lifted Connecticut College to a 3-2 victory over Wesleyan in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game at Dayton Arena. It was the fourth straight win for the Camels (7-8, 6-3). Jacob Moreau scored the first two goals for Conn and goalie Connor Rodericks made 31 saves.

Women's hockey

• Elena Gualtieri's power-play goal in the third period helped No. 9 Connecticut College rally from a two-goal deficit for a 3-2 win over Williams College in the NESCAC. Freshman Erin Dillon and Kaitlyn Paiva had goals for Conn (11-3-2, 7-1-1).
