It's been 52 years since Alice Cooper could sing "18" and not be lying about his age.

That's hardly the shock-rock pioneer's only hit, of course. He's got tons of them — and it's important to note that fans still flock to hear them. Part of this isn't just that he has great songs but also that Cooper and his band still put on world-class shows. They'll appear Thursday in the Mohegan Sun Arena — and, yes, he'll still rely on corpse make-up and time-honored props like the straitjacket, the guillotine and the pet boa constrictor.

Oh, it's worth noting that, last year, Cooper released an album called "Paranormal." Often, this means that, in concert, fans have to sit impatiently through the new songs to get to the biggies. But "Paranormal," featuring guests like Deep Purple's Roger Glover, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, U2's Larry Mullen, Jr. and original Cooper Band members Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith, is actually a competitive hard rock record. If the Coop includes any of "Paranormal" in the presentation, it should work just fine.

Opening is the Edgar Winter Band. You might be surprised at how many hits you remember from their catalog, too.
