Katie Rebecca Francisconi and David Hughes Jr. were married on Sept. 22, 2017, at Linden Place in Bristol, R.I. Lauren Mahaney, a friend of the bride and groom, officiated the ceremony.

Katie is the daughter of Frank and JoAnn Francisconi of New London. David is the son of Charlene and David Hughes Sr. of Millbury, Mass.

The bridal party included two maids of honor, Lauren Drozdow and Gina Kevan. Bridesmaids were Lauren Mahaney, Emily Love, Kristen Frazee and Bryn Goldbeck. The best men were Bret Corey and Kyle Dean. The groomsmen were John Francisconi, brother of the bride, D.J. Tarallo, brother of the groom, Mark Bodnarand and Eric Nalhstrom.

Friends and family gathered together to celebrate this joyous event in the charming seaside town of Bristol.

Katie graduated from Saint Bernard High School and obtained a bachelor of arts in psychology from Roger Williams University. She received her master’s degree from Lesley University and currently works as a vocational coordinator for the Northbridge School System in Massachusetts.

David graduate from Millbury High School and obtained a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He received a master’s degree from Worcester Poly Tech and is employed as an engineer at National Grid in Northborough, Mass.

The happy couple celebrated their honeymoon by visiting Iceland, Germany, Italy and Amsterdam during the Christmas season.

Katie and David reside in Somerset, Mass with their best buddy, Walter, their dog.
