    Eichelberg — Andrews Wedding Announcement

    Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Andrews

    Kirsten J. Eichelberg and Nathan E. Andrews were happily married on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at the OceanCliff Hotel in Newport, RI.

    The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Ruth Ann Eichelberg of Gales Ferry. She is also the granddaughter of Mary Jane Peterson of Gales Ferry and Phyllis Eichelberg of Uncasville. The groom is the son of Edward and Stephanie Andrews of Warwick, RI. He is the grandson of John Basso of Warwick.

    The double-ring ceremony was co-officiated by Christy Wright, friend of the bride, and Vinny Bucci, friend of the groom. The ceremony included a Native American blessing given by Mohegan Chief “Many Hearts”, Dr. Lynn Malerba, and a traditional blanket ceremony performed by Tribal Elder Council member Marie Pineault.

    Maid of honor was Kathleen Berdensey of Coventry, RI. Bridesmaids included Meghan Nogacek of Ledyard, Danielle Peters of Williamsburg, VA, Christy Wright of Stoughton, MA, Nicole Eichelberg of Gales Ferry and Mary Catherine Kovacs of Brick, NJ. Flower girl was Callie Eichelberg, niece of the bride.

    Jonathan Andrews, of Boston, and brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Alex Breault, of New Bedford, MA, Vinny Bucci, of Providence, RI, Pat Gesmundo, of Warwick, RI, Tom O’Brien, of N. Kingstown, RI, Kyle Eichelberg, brother of the bride, of Gales Ferry, and David Eichelberg, also brother of the bride, of Gales Ferry.

    Kirsten graduated from Ledyard High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Equine Management from Johnson and Wales University in Providence. She is employed at Mystic Valley Hunt Club as a horseback riding instructor. Nate graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island. He is employed as a Fisheries Specialist with the Rhode Island Dept. of Environmental Management in Jerusalem, RI. They are co-owners of 4oh1 Properties in Westerly, RI.

    The couple enjoyed some time in Maine following the wedding. They reside in Westerly, RI and are planning a future honeymoon.
