Susan Tefft of Preston is retiring after more than 42 years of employment at Orthodontic Associates of Southeastern Connecticut.

Sue grew up in Norwich, graduating from Notre Dame High School and then Windham Technical School with a certificate in dental assisting.

She started as a clinical assistant in January 1976 and has worked at the front desk as a scheduling coordinator for more than 25 years.

Sue has spent her entire professional career in the dental field; prior to OASECT, she spent one year assisting for a general dentist. Exceptionally friendly, helpful and always positive, Sue loves meeting patients and their families and forming a bond with them throughout their time in treatment.

Sue has become the face of OASECT’s Norwich office, with many patients asking for her by name.

And in 42 years, she has seen multiple generations from the same family go through treatment. As she leaves her place at the reception desk, Sue is looking forward to traveling more with husband Bob and spending time with friends and family, including her two granddaughters.
