Fire damages unit at Stonington inn

Stonington _ Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in one of the units at the Cove Ledge Inn and Marina on Route 1 early Sunday night. No one was injured.

Firefighters from Wequetequock and Stonington Borough responded to the 6:30 p.m. fire. Police at the scene said there was no immediate determination of the cause of the fire.

Traffic was reduced to alternating one-way in the area of the fire.
