Car crashes into Waterford weigh station
Waterford — A Chevrolet SUV drove through the weigh station off Interstate 95 south Friday morning, totaling the car and taking off the front end of the building.
Troopers said they believed the driver was not seriously injured. A Waterford ambulance crew and the state Department of Transportation were on scene. The Cohanzie Fire Department said late Friday that one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and a second person declined treatment at the scene. It was not clear if the second person was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
State police at the Troop E barracks Friday night said the building later was demolished. More details were not immediately available through the state police public information office.
