Mohegan Sun plans country-themed bar and restaurant

Mohegan — Mohegan Sun plans to turn its comedy club, Comix, into a country-themed bar and restaurant.

The venue, to be renamed Comix Roadhouse, will feature “roadhouse” entertainment, including live country music, mechanical bull riding, a Texas-style food menu, 30 craft beers on tap, a full bar and line dancing, the casino announced in a news release.

Scheduled to open this winter, the club will continue to offer stand-up comedy and alternative entertainment in a Comix Comedy Club section.

“We are inspired by the continued strong popularity of country music and are really excited to be bringing this to Mohegan Sun in a bar and restaurant concept,” Michael Brauth, co-owner of the new venue, said.

Top country music performers have long made tour stops at Mohegan Sun.
