Police interview person of interest in fatal North Stonington hit-and-run

North Stonington — State police said they have interviewed a person of interest in the Tuesday hit-and-run crash that killed 25-year-old Krystal Riske of Pawcatuck.

Police said they are working with the State’s Attorney’s Office and investigating “several leads.”

A Life Star helicopter flew Riske to Hartford Hospital after she was hit while walking on the right shoulder of state Route 2 near state Route 184 about 7 p.m. Tuesday. She died of her injuries early Wednesday, police said.

Police said the vehicle — a dark, possibly gray, mid-size SUV — has damage to its passenger side headlight and quarter panel and is missing its passenger side mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police Troop E in Montville at (860) 848-6500.
