Goodspeed Musicals will hold Equity auditions for its 2019 season for adult male and female actors 10 a.m-5:30 p.m. Oct. 28. It will also hold auditions for local children 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in East Haddam.

The Goodspeed 2019 season will be "The Music Man," March 12-June 20; "Because of Winn Dixie," May 29-Sept. 5; and "Billy Elliot," Aug. 13-Nov. 24. The Terris 2019 season will be "My Name is Ben," April 23-June 9, and "Passing Through," July 2-Aug. 18. Candidates must be available for four weeks of rehearsal and a five- to 12-week performance run.

For "The Music Man," Goodspeed is looking for male actors for the barbershop quartet and for boys and girls ages 7-16 for Winthrop, Amaryllis, Gracie and members of the ensemble.

The theater is also looking for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 16 that are strong singers with a contemporary voice for "Because of Winn Dixie"; and boys and girls with strong dance ability between the ages of 7 and 16 for "Billy Elliot."

For auditions, performers should bring a resume, photo and sheet music and be prepared to sing two short numbers: an up-tempo song and a ballad. Music must be legible and in the proper key (no lead sheets). An accompanist will be provided.
