After all the countless mass shootings involving military-style semi-automatic assault weapons, after we had the worst of them occur right here in Newtown, this past May, state Sen. Heather Somers still voted to allow people to continue owning bump stocks, devices that can be used to enhance the killing power of these weapons. Thankfully, a majority of our state senators did not agree with her. 

Please vote for Bob Stachen on Nov. 6 because children shouldn't be afraid to go to school.
