I’m proud to know my state Senate candidate Martha Marx is cross-endorsed by the Working Families Party on Row C this November. The WFP is fighting to build an economy that works for everyone. They endorse candidates who understand that everyday working families are the backbone of our economy, not corporate special interests.

As the first WFP candidate in to run in New London, I know WFP brings with it a serious plan for community growth and economic stability that towns throughout eastern Connecticut need. 

As a registered nurse for 30 years, Martha has spent decades hearing from working families in our communities about why the trickle-down economy and for-profit health care system aren’t working for them. Simply put tax cuts for the wealthy do not improve the lives of working Americans. Never have and never will. 

We’re tired of low-wage jobs that don’t let us save for college for our kids, or even for our own retirements. If you’re tired, too, I encourage you to say more with your vote by supporting Martha Marx on Row C, the Working Families Party line, on Nov. 6.
