Make a Difference: Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut

WHO: Joe C., a cancer patient and the single father of a young teenage daughter.

AGENCY: Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut.

THEIR SITUATION: Joe C. is recovering from cancer surgery, which has left him facing chemotherapy and a long recovery. He lives in New London in a modest apartment and survives on disability and food stamps. There is little spare money to celebrate the holidays with his daughter.

WHAT TO GIVE: His relatives do try to help with food, but gift cards or cash will help him during this tough time and will help him make a special Christmas for his daughter.
