Middletown — Connecticut College senior Olivia Haskell won the 100-yard freestyle and was on a record-breaking relay team on Sunday at the New England Small College Athletic Conference women's swimming championships.

Haskell won the event in a time of 51.15. She also teamed with Maddie Ford, Kenzie Healy and Vaughn Ammon to finish second in the 400 freestyle relay in a school-record time of 3:26.95.

No. 24 Conn was fifth with 932.5 points, while Williams College won its sixth straight title with a score of 1,873. Ford was fifth in the 100 freestyle in 51.59 and Ammon was 11th in 52.16.

College baseball

• Christian Fedko's grand slam sparked UConn to an 8-3 win over No. 4 Louisville at Lakeland, Fla. The win gave the Huskies two wins in the season-opening series. UConn won 3-2 on Friday night before Louisville won 12-2 on Saturday.

UConn trailed 1-0 after two innings before, with two outs, Mike Woodworth and Anthony Prato reached on singles and John Toppa was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Fedko. Thad Phillips had a two-run single in the fourth, Toppa singled home a run in the seventh and Chris Winkel hit a two-run homer in the eighth for UConn.

H.S. boys' basketball

• Nik Hay scored 30 points as NFA beat New London 82-51 on Saturday in an ECC Division I game which was the regular-season finale for both teams. Mason Jackson had 12 points and Nolan Molkenthin scored 10 for NFA (14-6, 4-2). Freshman Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton scored 18 and Elijah Robinson had 10 points for New London (8-12, 2-4). 

Men's indoor track

• Coast Guard's Ben Zarlengo broke his school record in the weight throw with a toss of 61 feet, 4.75 inches to lead the Bears at Springfield's Triangle Invitational on Saturday. Joseph Roth (16:01.43) and Logan Bonner (16:12.54) took second and third in the 5,000, third places went to Daniel Taglianetti in the 400 (53.04) and Benjamin Taminger in the 600 (1:24.09) and Jacob McGlumphy was fourth in the 3,000 (8:55.28).

• Connecticut College had a pair of fourth-place finishes at Springfield's Triangle Classic on Saturday. Spencer Crough was fourth in the 600 (1:24.87) and Ethan Milsark was fourth in the mile at 4:37.47. 

Women's indoor track

• Leilani Salang of Coast Guard threw a career best 50-5.25 to win the weight throw at Springfield's Triangle Classic on Saturday. Salang was second in the shot put (38-0). Nayalina Tamariz was second in the 5,000 (19:15.27), Mia Huncharek finished third in the 1000 (3:11.28) and Emma Sims was fourth in the 3,000 (10:59.09).

• Connecticut College was also at Springfield's Triangle Classic on Saturday and was led by Shannon Kennedy's third-pllace finish in the 60 high hurdles (9.74). Conn's Erin Fitzpatrick and Ivana Lamptey placed in the 60 dash, with Fitzpatrick coming in fourth in 8.20 and Lamptey eighth at 8.37. 

H.S. hockey

• Will Cannella and Evan Tower had two goals and an assist each as the Eastern CT Eagles beat Woodstock Academy 7-3 on Saturday night. Rylin Fowler made 34 saves, Kyle Jacobson and Ryan Huta had a goal and two assists each, Devyn Jordan scored and Kyle Marino had an assist for the Eagles (12-5-1).

H.S. girls' fencing

• Fitch wrapped up the ECC Division I title in foil with a 7-2 win over East Lyme on Saturday. Division II champion Waterford (15-1, 7-1) beat East Lyme 6-3 and Fitch 5-4. Fitch is 13-3, 5-1 and East Lyme is 11-5, 4-2.

In epee, Fitch (8-3, 3-1) created a tie for the Division I title with NFA with a 7-2 win over East Lyme and also beat Waterford 6-3. Waterford (8-4, 4-2 Div. II) beat East Lyme (1-11, 0-4) 8-1. Bacon Academy won the Division II title.

H.S. boys' fencing

• East Lyme (8-8, 1-5) picked up a pair of wins in foil on Saturday, beating Fitch 5-4 in an ECC Division I match and beating Division II Waterford 6-3. Fitch (9-7, 2-4) beat Waterford (1-15) 5-4. NFA (Division I) and St. Bernard (Division II) won regular-season titles.

In epee, Fitch completed an undefeated regular season and won the Division I title. Fitch (12-0, 6-0) beat East Lyme 6-3 and Waterford 9-0. Waterford beat East Lyme (3-7, 1-5) 5-4. Waterford (4-8, 2-2) finished in a three-way tie for the Division II title with Ledyard and St. Bernard.
