Fallen tree closes part of Route 1 in Pawcatuck

Stonington — State Route 1 is closed at Green Haven Road because a tree fell and brought down wires, the state Department of Transportation said in an alert.

The tree fell around 9:30 a.m. DOT officials didn't estimate when the road would reopen.
