    Ledyard Police Department welcomes two new, local officers

    Ledyard — The town police department has added two new, local officers to the force.

    Police said Waterford High School graduate Noah Concascia and Plainfield High School graduate Kyle Dugas were sworn in Wednesday night.

    Concascia, who also graduated from the New England Institute of Technology, was a team captain in football and wrestling while in high school.

    Dugas has served 12 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including three overseas deployments.

    Both will begin basic training at the Connecticut Police Academy on July 5.
