In 2020 make sure Trump hears, 'You're fired!'

We need a tough squad to lead us to 2020. The editorial “Trump’s racist trope must be condemned,” (July 16), with racist trope only the latest fill-in-the-blank (Trump's climate change Alfred “What me Worry” Neuman MADdening ignorance? Russian election hacking encouragement? etc.) condemnation.

Like dealing with a drunken adolescent, there is no reasoning here. Sadly, President Archie Bunker, a.k.a. Trump, is all narcissism, no compassion, a man more suitable for the White House loading dock. The four congresswomen known as “The Squad,” irrespective of politics, all deserve our admiration and respect, remarkably overcoming the stacked deck against them, possessing true American resolve, conquering their racial, gender, economic and geographic limitations to proudly serve in the U.S. Congress, an equal branch of our government tripod.

Sensing the threat to his autocratic ambitions, the president can only demean and laughably tell these Made in America U.S. citizens to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

Excuse me, President Bunker, but your apocalyptic inaugural address “warned of an America beset by violent crime, drugs, and lack of education.”

The Squad apparently has plenty of work to do here, as they mobilize Americans to say, “You’re fired,” and get Trump out of office in November 2020.
