As SOME of whatever passes for pop music these days continues to dabble in a synth-happy sound that happily borrows from '80s New Wave, why not see the originals while they can still dodder around and gel their hair? It takes a ferry crossing, but The Alarm plus Modern English and Gene Loves Jezebel — or at least reasonable facsimilies boasting, respectively, Mike Peters, Robbie Grey and Jay Acton — will deliver plenty of nostalgic anthems for your preening look in the rearview mirror. I'd swim across the shark-infested Sound to hear "Strength," "I Melt With You" and "Break These Chains." Tickets $20-$35.
