Norwich man arrested, guns and ammunition seized in New London
New London — Narcotics officers last Thursday arrested a Norwich man and seized three pistols, one rifle and 968 rounds of various types of ammunition as part of a Quality of Life patrol.
Javiel Rosario, 22, of 83 Oneco St., was charged with breach of peace, improper storage of a pistol in a motor vehicle and failure of pistol permit holder to notify change of address.
Police said the arrest happened around 2:10 p.m. in the area of Manwaring Street and Mountain Avenue.
Police seized a Tippmann Arms .22-caliber rifle, Glock .45-caliber pistol, Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol and Taurus .40-caliber pistol. Other evidence seized included 150 rounds of .40-caliber ammunition, 75 rounds of .45-caliber ammunition, 293 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 450 rounds of .22-caliber ammunition.
