These sessions meet new requirements around the Time’s Up Act for companies with three or more employees to provide two hours of training, or to provide training for anyone in a supervisory role. HONORS

Kevin Power, owner of Sunrise Home Inspection LLC in Mystic, recently attained the level of Certified Master Inspector. CMI is a professional designation awarded to home inspectors who have worked in the field for three or more years and conducted a minimum of 1,000 inspections. Power has worked as an inspector for 10 years and opened Sunrise Home Inspection in 2018.

GIVING

Mystic Aquarium showed their gratitude to those who give back in our community with support of the volunteers of the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of New London County. Captain Jose Borrero, New London Corps Officer, and Linda L. Mariani, co-president of Salvation Army of New London, were presented with complimentary admission tickets to Mystic Aquarium’s Northern Lights for the organization’s Red Kettle bell ringers. Mystic Aquarium’s first Northern Lights holiday event series takes place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Jan. 4, with timed entries at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission and are available online only at www.MysticAquarium.org/Northern-Lights.

During the month of December, Ace Hardware, 146 West Town St., Norwich, is offering customers the chance to round up purchases and donate the difference to the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Ace Hardware also collected toys for Tommy Toy Fund.
