Authors Nunnally, Foster sign Saturday at Savoy in Westerly

You might be one of those folks who think, "Pshaw! Who cares about Christmas or Thanksgiving!" and can tell you the exact number of days since Halloween (70) and the exact number of days until NEXT Halloween (296).

If so, this one's for you. On Saturday in the Savoy Bookshop and Cafe, horror author John C. Foster and dark crime/superhero writer Errick Nunnally will sign copies of their latest books. Foster's on tour behind "The Isle," about a centuries-old curse on an island in the North Atlantic. And Nunnally's latest is "Lightning Wears a Red Cape," concerning a consortium of sinister super-beings seeking to fuse all criminal and government organizations — unless civic-minded Shade, a martial arts expert from another planet, can stop them.

Errick Nunnally and John C. Foster, 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Savoy Bookshop and Cafe, 10 Canal St., Westerly; free; (401) 213-3901.
