    EMPLOYMENT

    Nick Gilham has been named Director of Social Media for Mohegan Gaming & EntertainmentDana Lambersky has been promoted to Director of Convention Services for Mohegan Sun in Uncasville. Gilham spent the first 10 years of his career working in information technology for companies such as AT&T. After receiving his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, he shifted gears and followed his passion for digital marketing. By 2015, Gilham would be named Marketing Manager for LensCrafters Social Media division.     ELECTED

    William E. Louis of Electric Boat and President of the MDA-UAW Local 571 was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Way of Southeastern Connecticut at the organization’s Annual Meeting on Jan. 24. He takes over for Rodney Butler, Chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, who served two years as Chairman and will remain on the Board as Immediate Past Chair. In addition, three new Board members were elected: Charles Corrado, president of General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences; Marie-Claire Peakman, Executive Director of Primary Pharmacology Group at Pfizer; and Megan Roberts, Electric Boat’s director of naval architecture and structural design and engineering. For more information, visit www.uwsect.org

    Patrick L. Green, president and CEO, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, will serve as chair of the 2020 Eastern Connecticut Heart Walk. The 2020 Eastern CT Heart Walk will take place on Sunday, Sept. 27 at the Mohegan Tribe Reservation in Uncasville. The heart walk is slated to raise $300,000.     CONTRACT

    Rite-Solutions has been awarded a new contract by the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, with a potential value of $71.5 million over the next five years. The company will provide engineering and technical services to the Undersea Warfare Electro Magnetic Systems Department including systems engineering, integration and test, fleet support, and lab support for the Navy’s imaging and electronic warfare systems. It is the largest single award contract in Rite-Solutions’ 20-year history, according to Joe Marino, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and one of the company’s founders.
