    Doughty installed as new president of New London Kiwanis Club

    New London — Board of Education member Bryan Doughty was installed this week as the new president of the Kiwanis Club of New London.

    The annual installation of officers and directors was held Sept. 27 at the Groton Townhouse Restaurant. David Peterson, president of Kiwanis Foundation of New England, was the installing officer.

    Other officers and directors installed were: President-elect Callie Sciavolino; Vice President Virginia Dimmock; Treasurer Jim Baude; Secretary Dottie Mansfield, Immediate Past President Marty Olsen; Directors One Year Ted Nelson, John Vincent, John Russell and Directors Two Years Pam Stevens-Moriarty, Judy Kierys, Priscilla Peabody and Cam Quinan.

    Chartered in 1940, the Kiwanis Club of New London will be celebrating 80 years of service to New London and Southeastern Connecticut this year.
