McCoy: 'Somone everyone looked up to'

Although my son ran for East Lyme High School (Ryan Murdoch, Class of 2006) we were lucky to have met Tom McCoy many times at his fun runs in Westerly and at various cross-country and track meets, "Stonington school crossing guard retires," (April 14).

Tom was always ready with encouragement for all runners and was a great example of a humble person, someone everyone who met him looked up to.

Congratulations on your retirement Tom, thank you for all the good memories we have.
