Groton — Groton Town Police Department's nonemergency phones lines will be impacted when the town's Information Technology Department makes planned upgrades to the town's network systems scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Aug. 1.
If people have an emergency, they should call 911, or for nonemergencies to the Groton Town Police, they should call (860) 235-8588, police said.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and our IT department will be working quickly to bring the phone lines back to normal operation within the 4 hour window on Sunday morning," police said.
