    Jessica Todd was recently promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Finance and Accounting at Chelsea Groton Bank. She joined the bank's Accounting team in 2004, and most recently was First Vice President, Director of Finance. Todd is Secretary of the East Lyme Public Trust Foundation and serves as Treasurer for the East Lyme Middle School PTA. She and her family live in Niantic.     Smith Brothers Insurance, a Top 100 Independent Insurance and Risk Management Broker, with offices in Niantic and Chester, has hired Mike Kelly as Private Client Practice Leader. He brings 15 years of experience in the insurance industry on the agent, broker, and carrier sides, with key leadership roles in high-net-worth personal lines. Most recently, Kelly was vice president, regional executive for PURE Insurance.

    Westerly Community Credit Union President and CEO Steve White has been elected to the Cooperative Credit Union Association's Board of Directors as the Rhode Island Representative.     GIVING

    The Jewett City Savings Bank Foundation has awarded $13,000 to six local food pantries. The Foundation awarded two food pantries $3,000 grants: The Friends of Assisi Food Pantry of Danielson and Saint Mary Food Pantry of Jewett City. A $2,500 grant was awarded to Project PIN Food Pantry of Moosup. The Jonnycake Center of Westerly received a $2,000 grant, The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center a $1,500 grant, and a $1,000 grant to the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut will fund the mobile food pantry distribution at the Griswold Senior Center.

    This year the Foundation awarded 64 grants totaling over $70,000. The Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 in support to local organizations since the first grants were awarded in 2004. For more information, visit www.JCSBank.com.
