    Two people die in Montville car crash

    Police are investigating a crash in Montville that killed two people and injured four.

    According to a Connecticut State Police news release, Tyshon Harper, 17, and Jamie Krajewski, 33, both of Norwich, were allegedly killed by an errant driver when they were pulled over on the right shoulder of I-395 northbound in Montville.

    At around 11:30 p.m., the alleged errant driver, identified by police as Derion Coker of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, “was traveling northbound in the right lane and crossed over the white fog line into the right shoulder and struck” two vehicles that were pulled over, including Krajewski’s. Harper and Krajewski were outside the car when they were hit.

    Jeremiah Rodriguez, 21, of Norwich, was transported to Backus Hospital with a suspected minor injury. Alonzo Henries, 17, of Putnam, had a reported possible injury but was not transported to the hospital. Chelsey Santiago of Newington was transported to Backus with a possible injury. And Coker was also transported to Backus with a suspected minor injury.

    Police said they notified the next of kin for the deceased, and that the crash remains under investigation. People with information about what happened are asked to call Trooper Meakem at Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
