The Hygienic Rock Fix is much-loved and very loud.

Taking place Saturday in the Crocker House Ballroom, the multi-band gig has, by design, always featured a stylistically wide-ranging mix of old and new acts from across the region.

This year's bill is a brilliant concept. New London independent record labels - The Telegraph Recording Company, Rave On and Good Sponge - have thrown together the finest each has to offer. The only drag is that, with so many good bands, it might be hard to leave the ballroom to go out and experience the rest of the Hygienic festivities!

Encompassing the finest purveyors of hillbilly, Americana, modern rock, reggae and garage, the Fix will indeed cure all musical ills.
