Small businesses and nonprofits with 25 or fewer employees are being offered free legal advice through the new COVID-19 Small Business Virtual Legal Clinic.

The clinic, sponsored by the state-based law firm Robinson + Cole LLP and the Connecticut Bar Association, will help businesses navigate the maze of relief programs available to help businesses survive the current pandemic. Owners will be able to speak to pro bono attorneys during 45-minute sessions to help determine their best path forward.

Among the areas typically of interest to business owners today are aspects of the Paycheck Protection Program, employment contracts, commercial leases, insurance and insolvency.

The clinic has been developed nationwide by the Lawyers for Good Government Foundation.
