Stephen Coan, CEO and President of Mystic Aquarium, and Stephan Ambrosch, owner of Deviant Donuts and Mangos Wood Fired Pizza, will be honored by Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce with the 2020 Joyce Resnikoff Tourism Award. The event will be Dec. 2, 5-8:30 p.m. at the Velvet Mill in Stonington Borough.

Mystic Kampgrounds of America Holiday Campground has earned the 2022 KOA President's Award. This award was presented Nov. 16 at KOA's Annual International Convention in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The KOA President's Award is presented to those campgrounds meeting exceptional quality standards and who receive high customer service scores from their camping guests. GIVING

Grey Sail Brewery presented a check for $1,500 to support Work Vessels for Veterans, a local volunteer charity that awards equipment to injured veterans who are starting their own businesses. The donation was part of the brewery's 10th Anniversary Party at their 63 Canal St., Westerly, brewery and taproom. Holmgren Subaru in Franklin has been selected by Subaru America as part of the Share The Love campaign. Over the last 13 years, Subaru has donated $170 million+ to charity. The Westerly Community Credit Union will be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys and selling $1 paper medallions through Nov. 30 to benefit the Minis Making A Difference charity. Donated toys will be accepted during regular business hours at all 4 WCCU branches in Westerly, Richmond and Wakefield. The Jonnycake Center of Westerly has been selected as the beneficiary of the Pawcatuck Stop & Shop's "Bloomin' 4 Good" program for the month of November 2021.
