Among the improvements the Connecticut Sun have showed this WNBA season is better road play.

Connecticut will try to continue that progress when it plays at the Tulsa Shock tonight (BOK Center, 8 p.m.)

Saturday night, the Sun play at the defending champion Minnesota Lynx.

Connecticut (10-4) struggled on the road in its previous two seasons. This year it's 4-1, including wins against the two-time defending Eastern Conference champion Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever.

The Sun were 6-11 on the road last season, including a loss at Tulsa. It was just one of three games the latter won last year as it set a league-record for fewest wins in a season.

Tina Charles, recently named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June, looks to get back on track for the Sun. She's her team's leading scorer and rebounder, but has shot 18-for-57 from the field in the last four games (32 percent), averaging 11.5 points.

Asjha Jones (12.4 ppg, 7.5 rpg), Kara Lawson (14 ppg) and Renee Montgomery (12.6 ppg) have been among Connecticut's leaders.

Tulsa (2-12) has shown improvements despite its record. It has lost three games in the final 38 seconds, but is one of the few teams to beat the Los Angeles Sparks (91-75, June 26).

The Shock have been led by the guard play of Temeka Johnson (14 ppg, 5.4 apg) and Ivory Latta (13.4 ppg). Rookie forward Glory Johnson has averaged 11.4 points and 5.5 rebounds.
