    April Showers Bring...A Cranky Toddler?

Ok, I know I complained about the weather once already, but REALLY? Is this weather joking me? We have really had enough of the rainy, damp, cold UGH that has been dominating our weather pattern this month. All Little Man wants is to be OWWW-side, so anytime the weather wants to get on board with that plan would be great. I mean, I see buds on the trees, so allegedly spring is coming, but I have yet to believe it. So, I have decided we will just call April a wash (yes, pun definitely intended) and look ahead to what fun things we have planned for May. You know, May? When the weather is so warm and wonderful and sunny?? Right, May?? RIGHT???

Well, I'm actually going to start with April 30, because that is when Little Man and I walk to Save the Babies (there is still time to donate if you are feeling generous!! I am this close to reaching my goal!!). I am really looking forward to that day so I am including it on here because I am requiring that the weather be good. Seriously, who wants to push around a toddler in the rain? Pregnant? Yeah, me either!

On May 7, the fam is heading to Boston for the night to visit my bestie and take Little Man to the Boston Aquarium (actually the New England Aquarium, but you know what I mean...). I am super excited for this trip, because I think Little Man's brain may explode when he sees the ginormous tank in the middle of the aquarium. Also, I haven't seen my best friend since before I got pregnant, so I miss her tons. Again, I am requiring nice weather because who wants to push a toddler around Boston in the rain? Pregnant? Yeah, me either!!

May 21 I will be heading back to my old stomping grounds of Niantic to take Little Man to Touch-A-Truck at McCook's Park. This will be our first time going and I have high hopes that Little Man will love the biiiihhh cucks. It runs from 9-2 and has crafts, food, and games and only costs $4 for ages 3 and up and benefits the Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut. While nice weather would be great, it has a rain date of Sunday...so as long as we can get in one of those two days, I will be happy!

I think that brings us to Memorial Day weekend, which I have no plans for, but am seriously looking forward to because it will be one of two days off I have in 2011 until I have the baby (the other being the July 4 holiday...and yes, you can expect a long and boring blog when I get on my soapbox about maternity leave and the time leading up to it...). I don't know what our plans are for that weekend but you can be sure it will involve relaxing and being outside in the nice weather!!!!!

ps--just so you know, I am not reimbursed in any way to tell you about these things we are doing with our free time. Just thought I would share. Wondering if you have anything fun planned for May? You know, when the weather is soooo nice??
