Belfast, Maine - Marnie MacDougall, of Belfast, Maine, passed away on Sept. 11, 2008, at Maine Medical Center, overtaken by an unexpected, rapid medical condition.

Marnie was born March 27, 1946, to Dr. A. Duncan and Margaret (Phillips) MacDougall of Groton.

Predeceased by her parents, Marnie is survived by her husband, Tom Crandall; daughters, Barrett Faneuf and Morgan Crandall; and siblings, Judy MacDougall Blair of Noank, Susan MacDougall of York Harbor, Maine, and John MacDougall of East Lyme.

Marnie loved to cook, sail, make baskets, and make friends.

A commemorative marker will be placed near her parents graves at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. No memorial service is planned.
