    ‘Somewhere’ explores local pandemic experiences

On Sunday, the Stonington Free Library hosts a launch for “Some Stranger, Somewhere,” a book that frames and explores the pandemic experiences of caregivers in New London County.

In compiling material, interdisciplinary artist/writer Jessica Cerullo asked a variety of participants the question, “What do you want your community to remember” about their COVID experiences? Cerullo wove oral history, theater and poetry in the book with editing by Tia Kramer and Lisa Birman and photographs by David Schulz.

The event, which is part of the local living archive project called The Ships in the Night, will feature live music and readings by citizens.

Some Stranger Somewhere book launch, 5 p.m. Sunday, Stonington Free Library, 20 High St., Stonington; free; www.stoningtonfreelibrary.org, (860) 535-0658.
