Everyone needs more Rice

Bestselling Old Lyme novelist Luanne Rice celebrates her new suspense title, “Last Night,” with a discussion and signing Friday in Mystic’s Bank Square Books.

Providence author Vanessa Lillie will moderate the event.

“Last Night” is largely set during a Christmas blizzard at the Ocean House hotel in Watch Hill — where a murder and a child’s kidnapping disrupt the seasonal cheer at the iconic resort. Intriguingly, Rice wrote a great portion of the novel while a guest in the Ocean House. We don’t think she killed anyone while there, other than on her laptop.
