Es muy fun
The first of five free Salsa on Parade events takes place Friday at Parade Plaza in New London.
And, no, we’re not talking about the fiery sauces typically associated with Mexican cooking. (Although, come to think of it, some of THAT salsa will be on site, too.)
The series’ bigger picture, though, centers around the musical style salsa, a highly syncopated, infectious amalgam of many Latin traditions. Sponsored by Taino Productions and the New London Cultural District, the free event boasts live salsa bands, DJs, food trucks, free dance lessons and merch and goods from local vendors.
In the scope of Fun, this is pretty great.
