Art by Mockler and Truth featured in show opening Saturday
An exhibition featuring the paintings and drawings of Timothy Mockler and Dan Truth will open 3-7 p.m. Saturday at 50 Main St., Noank.
Artists talks will be held in the future, with Mockler speaking at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and Truth speaking at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
Truth's works featured in the exhibition include a portrait of Mary Anne Stets, current chairperson of the Mystic Museum of Art, along with Truth's oil and pastels emphasizing his figurative work as well as still lifes.
Mocker's body of work is dominated by the painting "Forestal," an immersion in the woods, supported by a series of paintings and drawings.
